It was very interesting to see this sight come up. I would like to add that Arthur Herman Hayssen son of William Arthur Hayssen was married to Gail Hayssen from 1975-1995 and they have a daughter Nancy Hayssen born 1977 and named after her grandmother Nancy Garton Hayssen. We are a very close family. Please feel free to e mail me for any more information.

My cousin directed me to your website. I really enjoyed getting to learn more about our family. I just wanted to inform you of some errors about my family that you have listed. My name is Zdeena Maya Hayssen not Eena Cheney. My father's name was Pramod Kumar, he passed away in 1982. My mother, Mary Hayssen never married him, so I was given her last name. My mother married Bruce Cheney in 1983. Bruce has a daughter named Angelina Cheney from a previous marriage. She is my stepsister. Our parents divorced in 1990, but we are all still a very close family. I also noticed you do not have any information about my uncle, Arthur Hayssen. He has a daughter, Nancy Hayssen. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information.

Chuck Glass says:
Mr. Thiedig: I found your Hayssen / Hayessen Family Tree on the internet and wanted to contact you. I have been searching for the birthplace of my great-great grandmother Maria Louisa Teddick, Thiedig, Tydyck, etc. for many years. Maria was born 29 June, 1818 in Prussia. I have found all of her husband’s family (Hugo Glass) in Braunsberg, Ostpreussen, Prussia, but not Maria. Their son, my great-grandfather Franz Glass, was born in Gross Lemkendorf on 10 Apr 1849, and his god father was listed as Franz Tydick, but I find no records of other Tydick’s there. Hugo, Maria Louisa and Franz came to America in 1851. I was hoping you could help me to find my Tydick’s or give me some advice for locating them. Also, do you know where the Tydick’s might have gone after Ostpreussen ceased to exist after the second world war? Thank you very much for any assistance.

Hello Helga, Dr. Horst Friedrich Griesemann was an orthopedist in Wilhelmshaven, his parents were Gretchen Elisabeth Jacobs and Erich Bruno Griesemann, merchandiser in Magdeburg. My relation to the Griesemanns is by Horst's mother-in-law. Sorry, I have no additional information. Almut
