Go to this website to view my new Kickstarter video about the return of a WWI diary. The author of the diary, Karl Stehfest, was secretly engaged to Ilse Alberti, who is listed on your family web site. Exciting stuff!

Hi, whilst researching my own family tree I came across your website and the name of Vinzent Friedrich Wilhelm Trentepohl. I have an ancestor of the same name, although, I have his name spelt as Vincent. He was born about 1800 to Johann Friedrich Trentepohl, well known for his botanical work, in fact there is an Algae called Trentepohlia, named after him. I have much more information if you would like to get in touch with me. Cheers, Ray

Hello. I have rather exciting news to share with you. My grandfather, Charles Miller, took a diary from a dead German soldier on a battlefield in Belgium, in WWI (1918). The diary was authored by a young man named Karl Stehfest. Karl and Isle Alberti were secretly engaged! I am attempting to return the diary to the Stehfest family in Germany. I have narrowed my search to just a few cities. Can you send a photo of Ilse, if you have one? If you have a photo of Ilse and Karl that would fabulous! Karl was into photography, so it is possible he took Ilse's photo. Do you have any other information you can share with me? Please write me ASAP. Thank you! - Denis Mortenson

Hello I live in the three story house in Chunchula Al. I think the Hayssen family built it in 1901. My wife and I are restoring the house. We have one old photo of family and house not in your section. Any information about who built the house and family would be appreciated.
